Managing payouts is one of the least visible — but most time-consuming — parts of running a vacation rental business.
Split Payout rules let you automate payouts to owners, cleaners, co-hosts, and more.
Every booking creates a chain of payments:
- Owners expect their share
- Cleaners need to be paid quickly
- Co-hosts may earn commissions
- Property managers still need to keep the business profitable
And all parties expect payouts to be timely, error-free, and transparent — ideally with a clear way to view transactions.
The good news is that with Split Payout rules, you can automate this entire flow.
Below are a few real-world examples of how property managers can automate their payouts using Split Payouts.
How to Split Payouts Between Property Owner and Cleaner
Imagine you’re a Property Manager with one listing, one owner, and one cleaner. For bookings on this listing, you want payouts to happen automatically based on your agreements:
- John (Owner): receives 30% of the net payout (the amount you receive after channel fees).
- Anaya (Cleaner): receives 100% of the cleaning fee (not split with any other staff or providers).
Your goal is to set this up once, so both John and Anaya are paid automatically after every booking — without manual transfers.
Let’s walk through this case using Split Payouts — the new tool by Your.Rentals that automatically distributes booking earnings to owners, cleaners, co-hosts, and other partners. Instead of handling transfers manually after every stay, Split Payouts lets you define payout rules once and automate payments from each booking.
Add your payees
To start, add the people you want to pay as collaborators in Your.Rentals. Learn how to do it here.
For this scenario, we'll invite John Doe and Anaya Willis as payees. Once they accept, they become available as Payees inside Split Payouts.

Important: Each payee needs to add a payout method (bank transfer or Payoneer) in their collaborator account so they can receive funds.
Create a payout rule for each payee
Next, create a payout rule — this is where you define how booking earnings should be split. Give it a name you’ll recognize, for example: “BlueResort Owner + Cleaner (Listing A)”
Then define the payout details for each payee. For John, you might set a rule that pays 30% of the payout amount 1 day after check-in.

As a result, John will be paid 30% of the net payout — meaning the amount you receive after platform fees. If your agreement is that John should receive 30% of what the guest pays, you can instead select the Guest payment amount (gross).
For your cleaner, select the Cleaning fee as the payout basis and set the percentage based on your agreement. In our case, it’s 100%.

If you work with more than one cleaner or service provider, you can also split the cleaning fee between them — either by assigning fixed amounts or dividing it by percentage. This setup is commonly used for cleaners, linen services, and other per-stay service providers.
Assign listings
Choose the listing this rule should apply to, so each time the property gets a booking, your payouts happen automatically.
Payees are processed top-to-bottom, and you can drag to reorder them depending on who should be paid first.
Note: By default, you (the account owner) will appear automatically — but if you want to pay the owner first, drag them above yourself to prioritize their payout.

Add yourself as a payee if needed
If you charge a fixed amount per booking, you can include yourself as a payee too. Otherwise, remaining funds go to you as the account owner by default.
Everyone Can See Their Transactions
One of the biggest benefits isn’t just automation — it’s transparency. Payees can view their payout transactions directly in their collaborator page, while you can track all future and completed payouts in Reports — and export everything to CSV for accounting or reconciliation.

The CSV report is fully customizable, so you can include fields you need — like guest details, booking information, currency, or expected payout date.

The Result: A Scalable Payout Workflow
With one rule, you’ve automated one of the most painful recurring tasks in property management.
As you grow your portfolio, you can apply similar payout rules across listings, owners, and service providers —
without adding admin overhead.
