The first problem by not having updated rental calendar is the "double bookings". When a double booking occurs we transmit a lack of professionality, generate a negative customer feeling, and if on top of everything, no suitable alternatives can be provided, the client will often not return.
To avoid reaching these situations is very important to have your calendar up to date.
An updated rental calendar keeps your guests happy
Don't disappoint your Guests by not keeping your rental calendar up to date!
We surveyed a few Property Managers about why they were not keeping their vacation rental calendar up to date, and they said things like:
“I’m not blocking unavailable dates because I’m just trying out Your.Rentals to see if I get some bookings..”
“I chose to list with Request Booking, so I’ll just decline any requests where I’m already booked..”
However, this is not going to work out well for you or us.
Let us explain why…
1. If you decline too many Booking Requests, we will decrease the prioritisation of your account.
2. If you decline Booking Requests, some sales channels may choose not to list your property.
3. Listings with Request Booking are often prioritised lower in sales channels. We'd love to help you get your Calendar Sync set up so you can change to Instant Booking as your confidence in Your.Rentals grows.
4. And in the worst case, if too many of our Property Managers decline Booking Requests, some sales channels may choose NOT to list Your.Rentals properties.
So you can see, we’d love you to spend a few minutes to fix it.
