In the last article, we laid out the questions that actually decide whether a PMS/Channel Manager or Your.Rentals fits your business better. If that left you leaning toward Your.Rentals, here's what that actually looks like day to day.
Multi-Channel Setup: Your.Rentals vs. a PMS/Channel Manager
With a PMS/Channel Manager, getting onto multiple channels looks like this:

Guest Payments and Payouts: Property Management System vs. Your.Rentals
You don't need your own Stripe account or point-of-sale system. Your.Rentals collects the guest payment, settles each channel's commission on your behalf, and pays you out on a single schedule — the standard is 24 hours after check-in — regardless of which channel the booking came from. Instead of a separate invoice from each channel, you get one invoice per booking.
Commission and Fees: Service Fee vs. Channel Commission
This is the part worth running your own numbers on. Your.Rentals charges two things per booking: a 7.5% service fee, which covers using the platform and all payment-processing costs, and a flat 15% channel fee, which covers whatever commission the channel itself charges. Because the channel fee is flat, your payout is the same whichever channel the booking came from — and for Airbnb specifically, where the commission is currently 15.5%, that flat 15% works out about half a percent cheaper than booking through Airbnb directly. There's no subscription — what you pay scales with what you earn, not a fixed monthly cost. If you're running a larger-scale business, a volume tier is available based on how many transactions you process.
One Point of Contact for Support, Not One Per Channel
If something goes wrong with a booking on any channel, you contact Your.Rentals support — not the channel directly — and the team handles disputes with the OTA on your behalf.
Guest Messaging, Reviews and Reporting in One Dashboard
Messaging, reviews, reporting and your calendar all sit in one dashboard, synced to every channel via API.
Dynamic Pricing, Guest Insurance and AI Messaging Built In
A few things come built into the platform rather than needing a separate subscription: dynamic pricing through integrated vendors (no extra login or subscription), advanced payout (get paid before the guest even checks in), an air-cover-like insurance program that works the same way across every channel, and AI messaging. Larger customers also get access to a performance and revenue management team for more hands-on pricing help.
Direct bookings, with or without a website
If you want direct bookings outside the usual channels, you have two options. If you already have your own website and don't want to change it, you can add a booking widget to your listing page — it shows the guest your price, dates and cancellation options, and routes them to Your.Rentals' checkout. If you don't want a website at all, you can create the booking manually from your calendar: enter the guest's details, and Your.Rentals sends them an email with a secure payment link. Either way, these bookings aren't charged the 15% channel fee — just the 7.5% service fee.
How the cleaning fee is handled
If a cleaning fee is collected at the time of booking, which it usually is, it's included in the amount the fee is calculated on — the same way channels themselves handle it.
Limitations: Third-Party Integrations and Listing Brand Visibility
This setup isn't free of trade-offs. You can't plug in your own third-party vendor software the way you can with a PMS/Channel Manager — what's built in is what you get. On some channels, your listing may be published under the Your.Rentals brand rather than your own, worth considering if brand visibility matters to your business. And if you want to keep your own Stripe account or point-of-sale system, a PMS/Channel Manager setup supports that; this one doesn't.
