2018 is coming to a close and the new year is on the horizon, bringing new and exciting times for property managers and for Your.Rentals as a company. It’s been a big year for us with lots of developments in the Your.Rentals product and behind the scenes as the team has grown. We wanted to take a moment to share some of our developments over the last 12 months, introduce a few of the hard working people who make Your.Rentals great and give you a sneak peak about what to expect in the coming year.
A short review from Your.Rentals CEO, Andrew MartynWe are thankful that we’ve been able to talk with many of you during the year about your experience with Your.Rentals. One thing we keep hearing is that you like our model – that our interests are completely aligned with yours. We don’t know of any other service whose entire revenue is based upon their success of generating bookings for you. At Your.Rentals this core value drives everything that we do. Our sole focus is to ensure that each of your listings is growing in terms of bookings and revenue. During 2018, that has meant a lot of behind the scenes changes and improvements which you don’t see. And it is paying off – we’re proud to report that we’ve generated 900% more bookings this December than last year! We hope that you’ve also felt big improvements in the support and account management we provide you. We love to hear from you and help you get more out of working together. In 2019, we will begin rolling out some new features to allow you take more control over your booking performance. These include tools to analyse your listing performance and present you with simple opportunities to improve it, as well as new features to help you gain and manage more direct bookings. New features – designed by youWe’ve been hard at work making Your.Rentals even better for our customers, launching new features and refining old ones to ensure we keep making renting simple no matter your background or expertise. As Your.Rentals has grown we’ve made sure that the product has been shaped by customer feedback. We’ve run multiple user surveys and polls to find out exactly how best to make Your.Rentals work for you. Here are just a few of the changes we’ve made this year thanks to the input of our customers:
Import your listings from Airbnb and HomeAwayYou wanted: A quick and easy way to build listings So we took action: We developed the Listing Importer tool so that users could import the content from their existing listings in Airbnb and HomeAway! Now you can create a brand new listing in Your.Rentals in seconds and start sharing it to sales channels right away. Here’s Evert from our product team to explain more.
We realised that many of our users already have an existing listing in one or more channels, such as Airbnb when they sign up for Your.Rentals. Of course we aim to make our builder as quick and easy as possible, but to better serve these users, we wanted to offer them the opportunity to import all their content from these channels to their listing on Your.Rentals instantly. This way, they don’t have to do double work, and get their listing published within minutes.
CollaboratorYou wanted: To be able to work with colleagues and property owners to keep your calendars up to date So we took action: We’ve launched our Collaborator feature which allows property managers to share listing calendars with people of their choosing. This means that you never need to decline or cancel a booking due to a mix up with the calendars! After feedback from users we’ve also added customisation features, meaning you can add your own logo and branding to your Collaborator pages to add that extra professional touch.
Powerful Calendar Sync ToolYou wanted: An easy way to keep all of your calendars updated on every site you use So we took action: We revamped our Calendar Sync Tool to make it easy to import and export calendars for synchronisation. Bookings received through Your.Rentals will automatically be added to your calendars on other sites (and vice versa), meaning you never need to worry about double bookings or manually updating your availability.
New channels – New guests!We’ve connected to several brand new channels this year including misterb&b, CuddlyNest, LocaSun and more; as well as dozens of affiliate and partner sites. This means that Your.Rentals customers can now advertise their vacation rental properties to millions of guests from just one account. We’ve been fine tuning our connection to make sure Your.Rentals listings appear as high as possible in channel search results and give your properties the best chance of receiving a booking.
Industry Leading Support & Account ManagementWe’re really proud of our customer service here at Your.Rentals. Property managers and guests consistently rate our service as excellent but that doesn’t mean we can’t improve. So not only have we been growing our support team in multiple languages, we’ve been learning from our experience to make sure we meet our target of offering the best customer support in the industry. One of the ways we’ve been doing that is by introducing Account Managers, who work closely with users to make sure their listings are in top shape.
I work directly with users to make sure they get the most out of Your.Rentals every day. That might mean helping users build their listings or choose which channels they want to connect with, or it might mean reviewing their listings and offering suggestions on how they could optimise their booking performance. The personal connection with my accounts means that I can really help them grow. The best part is that it’s a two way relationship, so as well as being able to help users manage their listings I get feedback directly from users on features that would be useful and how we can make Your.Rentals better.
